Actions - Demulcent, soothing anti-tussive (prevents coughs), antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, strong laxative, diuretic & antirheumatic.
Therapeutic uses - (Internally) Constipation, coughs, moisturizer, liver congestion & rheumatic pain. (Externally) Boils, abscesses, ulcers, and pleurisy pain.
Dosage - 1-2 teaspoons, followed by 1-2 cups of water (as laxative). 1-2 teaspoons in water for other benefits. For external, crush 1 - 2 teaspoons and apply.
Oil
Actions - prevents buildup of fatty deposits.

Therapeutic uses - eczema, menstrual disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, atherosclerosis
Dosage - add 2 teaspoons to the diet.
